Going for Gold with Lola Hester – Presented by Newsome Insurance Agency

VYPE: What are your personal goals this year and how is the season going?

Lola: I would say the season is going pretty good for me. I have been placing top three at all the track meets and we just had regionals and now I get to go to state for shot put and discus.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Lola: The most fun I have had is spending time with my family and friends and taking a trip to Florida this year with some of my family members.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Lola: I would say my favorite teacher is Coach Radford, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Granger, and Mr. Wheeler. They help me get my work done.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Lola: Making it to state my sophomore year and this year and being a trainer for basketball I got to support my niece and my cousins and friends. We had fun moments.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Lola: I would say Montiel Crane and Tiauna Hester. They have helped me through a lot and supported me no matter what was going on and the rest of my teammates are there for me and we always have a good time.

VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?

Lola: I would say Montiel and Cooper have the impression of our coach. They know exactly how to help you with what you’re working with very quickly and I would say that Cooper says the funniest things during meets because he says everything that pops up in his head.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Lola: I would want to go to Hawaii and take some of my friends and family.

VYPE: If we gave you 500 dollars and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?

Lola: I would give some money in the offering at church and the rest to my mother because God has helped me come a long way with throwing in track and my mother has been there to support me through everything.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Lola: I want to say thank you to my mother, my sisters, my brother, and coach Radford for supporting me.
