OUTLOOK
In his first year leading the Clinton Red Tornadoes, head coach Mark Seiter is looking forward to developing a team full of potential. “I’m excited to start the season with these guys,” Seiter said. “We have a lot of sophomores, juniors, and seniors who bring valuable experience. I believe that’s going to benefit us in the long run.”
The Red Tornadoes will rely on a core group of versatile players to fuel the offense. Senior Ayden Crumley (6-3, Sr. F) stands out as a dynamic scorer who will play a crucial role on both ends of the floor. “He’s a very versatile player that will be able to guard multiple positions on defense. On offense, he will be able to play on the perimeter and score in the paint as well,” Seiter added. Guards Titan Malone (5-9, Jr.), Ronnie Redshin (5-9, Jr.), and Rufus Whiteman-Ellis (6-0, Sr.) will orchestrate the backcourt, bringing playmaking ability and scoring options. “Titan is a true point guard that has a high basketball IQ. He has all the tools to be an elite defender,” Seiter said. Seiter highlighted Atticus Thompson (6-1, Jr. G) as a versatile athlete with great finishing ability around the rim. “He hustles for every loose ball and is the ultimate teammate. He brings energy every day with a smile on his face.” Another player to watch is Ethan Lofland (6-4, So. F), who ended his freshman season on a strong note and is expected to make a big scoring impact this year. “He could end up with multiple double-doubles this year.”
On the defensive end, the Red Tornadoes will focus on energy, discipline, and making every possession count. Seiter has emphasized the importance of versatility and defensive chemistry. The goal for Clinton is to be tough defensively and make it hard for opponents to find easy shots. The group wants to control the boards and be a scrappy, relentless team.
Crumley will anchor the defense with his ability to guard multiple positions. Thompson will also be a key presence on defense, providing hustle and rebounding. Guards Redshin, Malone, and Whiteman-Ellis bring speed and quick hands to disrupt passing lanes and pressure opposing offenses. The Clinton guards have the ability to make life difficult for opposing ball handlers. With several experienced players returning, Clinton’s defense is poised to grow throughout the season. They are confident that as the season progresses, this team will come together and develop into a very competitive defensive unit.
