“I was about two weeks removed from coming back from Church camp. That’s about when the world starts to creep back into your spiritual high, and I knew I didn’t want that. I was way too in Love with God, and I’ll never forget I was tempted by something, and I said “No…I want to give my life to God.” I know this will sound crazy, but I took off running to my grandparents house, because I wanted to be baptized right then and wanted my grandpa to baptize me. Now, I could’ve called my mom to come get me or even my grandparents, but for some reason, in my mind I wanted to Run to the Church. I think back on it, and laugh, but at the same time I love it, because it’s very accurate with my relationship with him…when I’m tempted, when I fail Him, man I Run to God. It’s ironic this asked about my ‘walk’ God. I look at it as my Run with God.
So when did it began: July 16th 1999
How did it began: God. It began by God not letting the world have me.
I absolutely love this journey with God. I know I trip up at times, but I get up and Run right back to him. Like I’ve been doing since July 16th 1999.”
