Clinton’s Presley Evans – Presented by Blakeburn Clinic

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goals for this year are to start trying to get recruited to cheer in college. I also want to compete in All Region and move on to earn a jacket for All State!

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
If I had to pick the teammate that had the biggest impression on me it would be Addison Newcomb on my school cheer team. Ever since I met her in 7th grade she has always had the best attitude. She honestly to me defines what the perfect cheerleader personality is. She can smile through the roughest
conditions and I love that about her.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part of being in cheer is getting to tumble in front of a crowd. I love the way people
cheer and little kids talk to me like I’m a superstar to be able to do that. I also love hyping up the
teams from the sidelines. When a game is close or when we start winning, it’s the best feeling ever
seeing everyone start getting hyped up all around us and with us!

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I am President on our school Key Club. I am Student council executive vice president and our
junior class secretary. I am also involved in NHS and part of the top 10% of my class.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
My sport has taught me that hard work beats everything. I train nearly everyday. I have
since I was 4 years old. Talent has absolutely nothing to do with it. Also, attitude is everything.
Everyday you have to believe in yourself, no matter what anyone else in the world is telling you, your belief in yourself trumps everything else.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
The best advice I was ever given was something my mom tells my brother and I often. The worst thing anyone can ever say to you is No. Be bold, be brave, have courage and confidence. People don’t talk
about the quiet people in the back. They talk about the people on top that are making waves. So
be ok with being talked about. It doesn’t make it true, it just says that you are important enough
to those people that they want to talk about you.
