Clinton soccer player Alexa Sambrano told VYPE about her life in a recent interview.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goals this year is to save up as much as I can, get a state ring in soccer, and to become physically, mentally and financially ready for college.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I’ve had this year is probably with my school soccer teams at practices.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher is Mrs. Miller. She pushes me to be my best, makes sure I’m on top , and she’s just a good person in general.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory is whenever I went to Alabama with my travel team.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
My teammate to leave the biggest impression on me would have to be Paola Ochoa, she has such high standards for everything and she reaches all her goals, she’s a very passionate person and I love that.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part about being on this team is just being with everyone. The energy and environment is just so amazing and it brings so much joy to me that we are just like a family.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
I would go to Bora Bora if I could go anywhere for a vacation, and I would take my mom and my grandma, they deserve the best vacation.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If y’all gave me $500, I would spent it on gifts for the missin house or gifts for the adoption centers so kids, women, and men could have what they need and feel special for the holiday.
