Chattin’ Cheer with Clinton’s Saydee Starnes – Presented by RibCrib

VYPE: How is your season going out and what are your goals?

Saydee: My season has been going great so far and I hope it continues to keep getting better. My goal is to make it to state for our game day competition coming up.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Saydee: The most fun I have had in the last year is cheering for the state football game last year.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Saydee: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Thacker from 2nd and 3rd grade because she was always so happy to be there. She taught us a lot and chose to have all of us in her class two years in a row and she still checks on me to this day. I know she is always there supporting me still.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Saydee: Karlee Martinez, one of our captains a couple of years ago, taught me the most about how we grew up together and I always looked up to her because of her skill level and she was always willing to help her cheer at UCO.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Saydee: My favorite part of being on the team is being able to get involved in all of the school activities and cheer the teams on and being someone people look up to

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Saydee: My favorite athletic memory would be cheering on the sideline on Friday nights.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Saydee: Somewhere on the beach and I would take my family with me.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Saydee: I started off doing gymnastics when I was younger and in middle school my friends got me to try out for cheer and I have loved it ever since.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Saydee: I would like to say thank you to all of my family , friends, teachers and coaches for also being there for me.
