

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing volleyball?
Zaida: My friend dragged me to a practice my freshman year.
VYPE: How did your season turn out and what were your goals?
Zaida: I was disappointed with my season because injury took up most of it, but sitting on the sideline gave me a different perspective of volleyball. My goals were to grow as a team and improve something every day.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Zaida: I had a lot of fun at summer volleyball workouts and camps.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Zaida: I like my history teacher coach Seiter because he’s pretty chill and he gives us time to write down our notes.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Zaida: Playing in the Best of the West Tournament.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Zaida: All of my teammates have left an impact on me but my seniors Ali, Clariza, and Campbell are great leaders.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Zaida: I like that we can all lean on each other and there’s no judgment. There’s a lot of encouragement.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Zaida: I would probably go to Hawaii and I would bring my best friend Brinlee with me because that’s literally her dream.
